W.O. 020Diagnostics from $129

Heating repair

No-heat calls are what we do most. Oil, electric, propane, and hydronic systems in homes that were not all built the same decade. We diagnose first and quote before anything beyond the service call.

01

What brings people to us

  • No heat, and the house is dropping
  • Furnace runs then locks out, sometimes repeatedly
  • Burner cycles but never reaches temperature
  • One zone or one floor went cold
  • Radiators cold at the top, or a boiler gauge that keeps falling
  • Thermostat is dark, or calling for heat with nothing happening
02

What we actually check

  • Thermostat operation, batteries, wiring, and condensate float switch
  • Ignition, cad cell, nozzle and filter condition on oil systems
  • Breakers, duct heaters, and baseboard circuits on electric systems
  • Expansion tank, circulation pump, and pressure relief valve on boilers
  • Heat exchanger, venting, and draft where combustion is involved

Shut it down and call

If you smell fuel strongly, smell burning plastic, or see smoke, shut the system down before anything else. If a CO alarm is sounding its danger pattern or anyone feels dizzy or headachy, leave the house and call 911 first, then open a ticket.
